The visa is applied electronically; no stamp or visa label will be placed in your passport until after you have arrived in Gabon.
When the approval has been granted, we will email it to you which you must print & carry with you to Gabon. As payment is made for the e-Visa upon arrival to Gabon, you will also need to carry with you a means to pay the visa fee to the Immigration Officer (€85.00 for Single Entry or €200.00 for Multiple Entry).
The e-visa is valid for those travelling to Gabon by air via Leon MBA International airport in Libreville.
The validity of Gabon e-Visa starts from the date you intend to enter Gabon stated on your application. Should your travel date change, a new visa must be applied.
Single entry tourist visas are valid for up to 1-3 months starting from the intended date of arrival in Gabon while Multiple entry tourist visas are valid for 6 months with multiple entry.
You should apply no less than 5 days before your intended entry date into Gabon.
The e-visa is usually issued within 3-5 business days but can take longer. We advise that you do not confirm any flight booking until your visa has been issued.
You can apply for an extension of your e-visa by going to the visa department of the Directorate General of Documentation and Immigration (DGDI) in Libreville. Extensions will only be given to 1 month or 2 month validity e-visas. The maximum extension will top up your e-visa to 3 months.
