Other Services Available Through VisaSmart Travel Solutions Ltd

Apply for Official Document Translations

If you require a document to be officially translated, you can email or post a copy of the document to us & we will organise the translation into any language & will either email or post the translated document back to you. In some cases, documents may need to be notarised by a Notary solicitor to authenticate the translator signature & confirm the document is legitimate. Should you require this, please view our notarisation service pack. Should your document be needed for use by an embassy or in another country, your documents may need further attestation by the FCDO or embassy. We can also do this for you and you will find the information packs available from the links below. Please note that the translator will charge per page. If you require 2 documents to be translated, they will charge 2 sets of fees. Our service charge is, however, only payable per visit - if we are attending to attest 2 documents for example, your fees will be 2x translation but 1x our service charge.

Apply for Document Notarisations

Some documents must be notarised by a Notary solicitor to authenticate the signature & confirm the document is legitimate. Normally, you would need to be present in order to confirm your identity, but as your agent we can attend on your behalf as long as we have your authorisation to do so. In most cases, your documents will need to be copied & it is the copy of the document that the solicitor will notarise. If you are using an original document, it may not need to be notarised unless it does not contain a signature (such as a Scottish disclosure certificate). In the majority of cases, notarised documents will need to be attested at the FCDO if they are going to be used overseas. We can also do this for you, please select the FCDO service from the link below. Please note that the Notary solicitor will charge per document being notarised. If you require 2 documents to be notarised, they will charge 2 sets of fees. Our service charge is, however, only payable per visit.- if we are attending to attest 2 documents for example, your fees will be 2x Notary but 1x our service charge.

Apply for FCDO Attestations

FCDO attestation is required when an official in another country has asked you to provide a UK document and they require it to be legalised. The FCDO will check the document and see if any signatures, stamps or seals match their own records. If they do match, they will attest the document by attaching an ‘apostille’ (stamped official certificate). You cannot get documents issued from outside of the UK legalised using the FCDO in the UK - you must get them legalised in the country they were issued in. In some cases, your documents will need to be copied and notarised before the FCDO can attest them. Please note that in the case of marriage, birth, death, medical and police certificates, the original certificates will be attested so will not need notarising. Most other documents can be copied. We can have the documents notarised for you if needed, simply click on the Notarisation link above to download our forms. If the document that you need to be attested requires an embassy legalisation afterwards, please select the country service from our menu. In all cases, country members of the Hague convention only require an apostille stamp from the FCDO and not an embassy stamp. Please note that the FCDO will charge per document being attested. If you require 2 documents to have an apostille stamp, they will charge 2 sets of fees. Our service charge is, however, only payable per visit - if we are attending to attest 2 documents for example, your fees will be 2x FCDO but 1x our service charge.

Apply for a Police ACRO Certificate

Some countries often request applicants provide an ACRO Certificate as part of their visa application process. VisaSmart can assist with obtaining this certificate quickly. Processing time for the police to issue your certificate is 2 business days on express or 2 weeks on standard services. Please note that the certificates are posted back and this can take longer than the specified processing times. If your certificate will need to be attested or legalised & you need us to complete that service for you, we will have the certificate mailed back to us directly to save time. We will only do this if the required order form for the service you require is supplied with the order form for the police certificate. If the document is to be returned overseas, the certificate will be mailed directly to our office and sent on to you from there. Providing no other service is required, all documents for this service can be emailed to us at admin@visasmart.co.uk
