Important Information
If this service has any special requirements, processes or rules they will be listed here. If applicable to this service, please read this section carefully to ensure you fully understand the entirety of the process.
All foreign documents to be used in China must be attested by the FCDO. Before the FCDO can legalise a document, some may
need to be Notarised.
Notarisation is required where a copy of the document is made which must be confirmed by a notary solicitor that it is true to
the original. Please note that birth, marriage or ACRO police certificates will not require notarisation as the original document
must be used for attestation purposes. The Notary authorisation form within our pack should only be completed if you require us to
have your documents notarised.
For police certificates, please ensure that they are not issued more than 2 months old.
Processing time is usually 2-3 weeks.
The service can only be completed for documents that were issued in the UK or Northern Ireland. Should your documents have been issued overseas, you will need to have them attested in the issuing country. Should you still require assistance with this, please let us know as we have associates all around the world ready to assist!
Our service fee is charged per person/per visit for a maximum of 5 documents that require the process. Notary & FCDO fees
are per document.
