Documentation Required To

Apply for a Saudi Work visa

You must enclose all required documentation in full when sending your application to us. Failure to do so may result in a delay with your application while this information is sought.

  • VisaSmart request form (download visa pack above)

  • Application form completed, printed and signed, including the declaration & insurance forms. (download visa pack above)

  • Original Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond submission with 2 blank pages

  • Photocopy of passport identity page

  • UK Passport regulation photograph x3

  • Original contract of employment - legalised by the Saudi Chamber of Commerce & the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia.

  • Visa block letter - issued by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs

  • Original letter of introduction from employer in KSA

  • Electronic Power of Attorney - issued in KSA in applicants name

  • Applicant Curiculum Vitae

  • Original medical - The medical form to be used is included in the pack. This must be attested by the FCDO before presenting to the embassy.

  • Original ACRO police certificate - We can apply on your behalf if required. This must be attested by the FCDO before presenting to the embassy.

  • Qualification certificates - Must be attested by the Saudi Cultural Attache ( https://uksacb.org/) & FCDO. 


If you need us to apply for your police certificate or attest your documents at the FCDO, please select the option on the request form included in the visa pack.


Non British passport holders will also be required to provide one of the following:

  • Copy of UK residence card/permit 

Important Information

Processing time in the embassy is usually between 2-5 business days. 


FCDO attestation is completed within 2 weeks if the service is selected.


The embassy will select applicants at random for further investigation - this can include a phone interview. Should you be selected for further investigation, your process can take longer.


All documents must contain the same job title as the Visa Block letter. Qualification certificates must be relevant to this position.

All qualification certificates must be attested by the Saudi Cultural Attache at https://uksacb.org/

This service must be completed by the applicant before sending any documents to us. The service can take some time so should be the

first step in your preparations. Once you have the certificates back, they will also need to be attested by the FCDO. We can undertake the FCDO process for you only.


Medicals must be completed in the UK using the form in the application pack. The doctor performing your medical must provide the originally signed form. This can be sent to us directly if preferred.


We can apply for your police certificate on your behalf if required. Please select the option on the order form above and we will email

the information. This service usually takes 1 week.


All documents provided must not be older than 3 months when making the application.


Useful steps to follow:

1. As soon as you have been notified of your confirmed position, apply for your certificates to be attested by the Saudi Cultural Attache.

2. Await all documents to come through.

3. Book a medical - this can be at a GP surgery or any medical practice but must be completed in the UK.

4. If you are applying for your own ACRO certificate, apply now! If you would like us to obtain this certificate, contact us at this stage.

5. Send us your completed pack. We will have the relevant documents attested at the FCDO if selected & then attend the embassy for your visa to be issued.
